El Camahueto es muy parecido a un ternero de unos pocos meses, pero con una fuerza descomunal. Tiene un solo cuerno, pequeño, pero con atributos mágicos y especiales, que lo hace, muy apetecible para los brujos y curanderos que saben como utilizar sus propiedades mágicas.
Este ser, nace entre alguna laguna o lugares pantanosos, donde haya sido sembrado con el cuerno de Camahueto, extraído por algún brujo.
Muchas veces aparece , en lugares donde se quiere hacer mal a alguna persona. Su crecimiento es lento, va de 25 años hacia adelante.
Cuando alcanza su adultez, busca el cambio de su morada, en una noche de tormenta, y se abre camino entre arbustos, campos, para llegar al mar. Al suceder esto, se siente un ruido fuerte de matorrales y arboles que se caen, y se oyen sus chivateos en la noche, con un sonido espeluznante.
Al llegar al mar, puede derribar incluso embarcaciones que estuvieren a su paso, produciendo grandes marejadas al sumergirse en el mar.
Esta es la ocasión de que un brujo , con la habilidad de lacear, a este ser, segundos antes de tirarse al barranco, y con una cuerda hecha de sargazo. Al poder atraparlo, puede cortar rápidamente el cuerno, y rápidamente se convierte en un buey manso, y de uso doméstico, dejando en el pasado su naturaleza violenta.
The Camahueto
The Camahueto is a mythological being, resembling a few year- old calf, yet with an immense strength . It has only one tiny horn, but with some special magical qualities making it very desirable for warlocks and witch doctors who know how to use its magic properties.
This being is born in a lagoon or swampy places, where it has been planted with a Camahueto horn ,removed by some wizard or warlock.
More often than not, it appears in places where a person could be in danger, that is to say this person is likely to be damaged by another through witchcraft. Its growth is very slow, from 25 years onwards.
When it is an adult, it changes its dwelling. During a stormy night, it weaves through bushes and fields in order to reach the sea. When this happens, a very loud noise is heard from thickets bushes and trees fall down, and its moaning is heard during the night, with a very creepy sound.
As it reaches the sea, it can even knock down the vessels nearby, causing huge tides when submerging into the sea. On this occasion, a warlock with well- developed abilities to lasso, could get this being, seconds before throwing himself to the gorge. This must be done with a seaweed rope. When catching it, the warlock can quickly cut off the horn and if this happens this dangerous being becomes a tame ox of domestic use, leaving its violent past life behind
